Garden Plan

I have been playing with garden design ideas, the block is very small and an odd shape and on a corner block... but there is enough room to have gardens a court yard and lawns, what do you think? I don't have a before picture, but just picture nothing but the house and shed and you will get the idea.

New Fabric Design

I have been working on a new fabric design, I am unable to get my supplies to create my screen printed fabrics yet. So I whipped out the old lino cutting tools, I have always wanted to create a basic leaf print but felt that it wouldn't be unique enough for people to show an interest...but I just had to do it!!! I was inspired by this print (below) that I carved in my first year at uni (4 years ago) out of Masonite.




I printed this set last week with black block printing ink and then filled each one in using water colours.

So from the inspiration above I created basic lino prints that could be used in a repetitive pattern.











They are printed on pieces of fabric I had here, I would like them to be on a green fabric maybe...After I heat set my first runs I wrapped them in cushions to see how they would look...I think they look great, I am doing more so I will see what happens with them in the future.

I also Printed them onto some tea towels






The images aren't as clear as I thought they were going to be, but you get the idea.

9 piece Dining Room Setting for Sale

I have decided to sell my 9 piece dining room setting, I bought it two and a half years ago, and it is for sale if there is anyone interested in buying it.
The table measures 111cm x 210cm. Heritage teak stain on pine. Looks great ! Shame to sell it but I need a smaller table for the space. Please excuse the mess in the background of the photos...still renovating...So if you are interested or know of anyone who is email me at darren@darthean.com.au

The roof is off

We are pulling the roof off the toilet and laundry today..and replacing it, because where the new laundry is the ceilings are very low, and we want it to flow...
YAY..I hope this rain holds off for at least the rest of today...

Greeting Cards

I have decided that My designs would be a great greeting card!! so thats what is going to happen, I have refined 4 of my designs just for our special darthean blank cards. Images will be up soon, as soon as they come back from the printers, YAY!! And hopefully, tomorrow I will be picking up our new decals, they are gonna be fantastic too...I cant wait to post images of them...and I already have orders for them!!!

on another note, have a look at what I think is going to be the new couch...from ikea
it looks great in the picture and in the displays, but I need to know what other people think of them, or if anyone has had a bad or good experience....

Decals

If you are here you probably are aware that we have created a range of soft furnishings with our label "darthean" and I am really interested in turning them into wall decals, also getting designs onto china etc. Does anyone know where I can get this done in Australia?

Furniture, what do you think?

We have been asked many times to create unique pieces of furniture for various customers, and we are in need of assistance from you! Is there a market out there for custom built furniture or are people more likely to go to a large furniture store chain to purchase what they want?

and it gonna be great well I think it is anyway. So this is onlya short blog tonight, I have to go to sleep now and get up bright and early to work on an assignment for uni...if I dont get distracted and start working on more designs...heheh
